I need to back up my settings för the Office Shortcut Bar, but I cannot find
out where they are located.

Any hints?

Probably best to post this in an Office group. Personally, I don't use the
Office Shortcut Bar any more - the QuickLaunch bar is so much nicer, in my
view. Have you tried that?

Do you mean the Windows QuickLaunch bar? Of course I am using it - but I
cannot put all my programs there; then there would be no room for open
programs in the taskbar.

OK - I did find it myself: is it s in C:\Document and
settings\MyName\Application Data\Microsoft\Ofice\Shortcut Bar.

You do realize the Quicklaunch Bar can be removed from the Taskbar and
placed elsewhere don't you? (If you don't, it can! And resized to suit you)

Those are the shortcuts that go on the bar. The information on the
arrangement of the icons is stored in the registry at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Shortcut Bar. (The 9.0 is
for Office 2000. If the have a different version, that part of the key
name will be different.)

OK - thank you!
