I found this out when for the SECOND time I had to reset
the settings for my Creative Audigy 2 sound card for EAX
again in order to hear sound out of my six speakers.
Plus, my desktop icons on booting up my system now only
displays the default Windows XP icons. My brother
suggested that it could be an indication that the CMOS
battery is finally going, so I'm picking up a new on
today. ANy suggestions on how I can solve this problem
short of wiping the 250GB HDD and reinstalling everything
again?

Hi Bruce,

Start with this edit:

Save Settings on Exit (Line 54)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
