Setting winxp to ALWAYS print in Color?????

The black ink is out on my printer. Is there a way to force windows,
or any other app, to always by default print in color?
At least until I can get some $$$$ to buy another expensive
cartridge????

It depends on the printer driver. Most color inkjet printer "seem" to refuse
to print if the blank ink cartridge is missing or empty.

BTW: For color printing, Black is a color!!!

The printer driver (not XP) determines whether to print in color or black
and white. However, most color inkjet printers (not XP) will not operate if
any cartridge is empty.
