Setting Windows Explorer View to "Details" as default

Hi,

does anyone know how to set the Windows Explorer View Type
to "Details" or "List" by default - I hate looking at the
icons!!!!

Open windows explorer and set it up the way you want it
to look. The click on "Tools" then "Folder Options"

Go to the "View" tab and hit "apply to all folders"
