Setting up Windows Mail account

I went through the process of setting up an account but when I tried to test
it by sending an email to myself, I got the following error message:
"The host 'smtp.aol.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have
entered the server name correctly.
Subject 'Test', Account: 'imap.aol.com', Server: 'smtp.aol.com', Protocol:
SMTP, Port: 587, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number:
0x800CCC0D"
I have no idea what this means. I used the procedure set out in "Windows
Vista for Dummies" for AOL users. I must be a dummy!
