setting up speakers

i ran linux previously on my machine and just recently installed windows xp.
i had speakers set-up to work with linux and they were just fine. now that xp
is my OS they've stopped working.

i went to the "sounds and audio devices" section of the control panel, and
it tells me that i have no audio device.

any thoughts?

Hi,

Depends. If it's an addon card, get them from the card manufacturer's site.
If it's an onboard, you should be able to get them from the motherboard
manufacturer's web site.

ah...i just installed (via "performance and maintenance") the appropos
drivers and i'm off and running! thanks!
