Setting up Internet Email Account

A

Amir M.

Hi,

We use Exchange 2000 Server as our email server and
Outlook 2000 as client. I am trying to set up my boss's
prodigy.net email account on his Outlook. If I add the
Internet Email account to the same profile that is used
for his MS Exchange Server emails, then his prodigy.net
emails would go to the same mailbox as the Exchange
emails. Is there a way to direct his prodigy.net emails
to go to a different folder than his Exchange Inbox,
within the same profile? Or do I have to create a second
profile to be used for his prodigy.net emails?

I read that when using C/W Outlook to directly receive
Internet email, you wouldn't be able to receive emails
from servers that use the IMAP4 protocol. But, if you're
using C/W Outlook as a client for Exchange and use
Exchange to receive Internet email, you can receive IMAP4
messages. Does this mean if you set up a separate profile
for the Internet Email account and have the emails
delivered to Personal Folders file, you won't get IMAP4
messages, but if you set up the Internet Email account
within the same profile that has Exchange Server, you will
get IMAP4 messages?

Thanks

for best results, create a new profile. But you can use rules to move the
mail to a personal store.
