Setting Up Hotmail w/ Outlook

I am trying to set outlook 2000 to check a hotmail
account. Someone told me that this is not possible. How
do I set up outlook to automatically check hotmail?

Outlook 2000 does not support Hotmail. Outlook 2002 and 2003 do.

Now, why would you give the OP an article describing OL 2002 and 2003, when
s/he _specifically_ said OL 2000?
