I'm using Front Page to develop a Web page. For testing during
development I've installed IIS.
One of the subpages has a form and I want to have the results sent via
e-mail. I'm getting
an error report saying the server (i.e., localhost) is not configured
for mail.

How do I set up and configuring a mail server?

Thanks

Hi Jack,

It's XP Pro Version 2002, SP2.

The FP version is 2002, SP3.

The link you provided is indeed a wealth of info that I need. However,
if the answer to
why e-mail from my Form doesn't work on localhost, I don't see it.

I have installed the IIS component from the XP CD, with the FP 2000
Server extension, IIS Snap in, SMTP, common files,
WWW Service, and Documentation boxes checked. I can see C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\40\bin\1033,
which I've read means they are really there.

Any ides?

Ed
