Setting up a VPN XP server

G

Guest

I want to allow access to our network at work to people from home. We have a peer-to-peer network running XP Pro. If I set one of them up as a VPN server, can someone still use that machine as a regular workstation at the office at the same time someone is connected into it from home? Is there documentation somewhere which details the steps needed to accomplish this, both on the server and on the remote client

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. We can have VPN server setup on XP Pro and still have the user working
on it.

Look for "How to configure Incoming Connections on XP".

Thanks,
Manjari.

Hmmm - that contradicts what I've read...but I defer. :)

No - XP provides for only one connection at a time.

Sure, you can VPN into an XP Pro box while it is being used. Maybe your thinking about Remote
Desktop?
