Setting up a rule

OK. I created a business card document using Microsoft 2007, but saved it in
DOC format of Word 2003. The file is a portrait, letter-sized page with 10
cells, five cells in two columns. Each cell has a JPEG picture in it filling
up the cell, i.e. all the same business card. However, in each picture there
is a certain location of an empty space where I want a name to appear. Each
card has the exact information appearing already on each picture. Now, what
I want to do is two things: 1) To create a document where when I type in a
name in that certain empty location in the card (whether or not I use a text
box with invisible borders or not, I do not know), the name will also appear
in the nine other cards in the same location of each card; and 2) Create a
mail-merge-like document where I can have a list of employees (first name and
last) be inserted into the said empty location in the cards, only each name
inserted into all 10 cards on one page, then the next name inserted into all
10 cards on one (same page), and so on, ...until I'm able to create 10
business cards for each employee in one, merging process.

Thank you.
