setting programs

In Internet Explorer, Tools, Programs, it lets you select
your default programs for things like mail, newsgroups,
address book, etc. I NEED to change my default email to
Outlook Express instead of just Outlook. For some reason,
Internet Explorer shows the changes being made, but after
I hit 'OK' and check it, it results back to the defaults
(Outlook). Any ideas? Please help!
 
You can also make OE the default mail and/or news handler from within OE. In OE,
look in the Tools | Options | General tab.
 
Installing Outlook can break the registry settings which allow OE to be the
default e-mail program.

Try this:
Start> Run> enter the following line (with the quotation marks)

"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /reg

assuming that's the path to msimn.exe on your PC
