Setting .pdf reader default

Ed DeLaura

I am using the Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Reader with Windows XP.
When I want to read a .pdf file, Notepad comes up as the
default reader and the screen contains giberish. How do I
set the Acrobat reader as the default .pdf file reader, so
that, when I double click the file, Acrobat is called?
Thanks for your help.

Find a pdf file | Right click it | Properties |
Under Opens with, click the Change button |
Find and select Acrobat Reader | OK your way out

In addition to what Wesley said also check the box, "Always use the
selected program to open this kind of file".
