Setting Home Page on IE6

R

riley

A program has altered my IE 6. It has set a home page and
will not allow me to change it. The url that comes up is
look-today.com. When I go "Tools" and "Internet Options"
to set my login home page it will not let me change
anything in that section. Whatever program that has set
this look-today.com address has also altered IE 6. What
can I do to get rid of this?

Your machine may be/is infected with spyware/malware. Go
get copies of Ad-Aware and Spybot (both free) and run them.
That should clean your machine.

You might want to consider using a different browswer such
as Firefox, Opera, etc. They all have built-in pop-up
blocking so the ads which install this stuff on your system
don't even appear.

Another option might be to get Googles Toolbar which also
has built-in pop-up blocking
