Setting Form to submit results to an email address

K

Kate

I created form to send the results to my email address. I
have done everything, but it still doesn't work. My host
has the proper server extentions. But I am not receiving
any emails.
Can someone help?

Thanks
Kate

Are you getting any error messages?

You may have to use a email address that is associated with your domain, a
pop3 account provided by your web host, and then receive your email from
there.

After getting out of form properties, I got an error
message: this form is being created on a disk based web
or the Frontpage Server extentions have not been
configured to send email. Please direct your system admin
or ISP to the instructions "Setting up email instructions
in windows. or on Linux in the server extention resource
kit. if you do not have the extentions you can find it at
http://www.microsoft.com/frontpage/wpp/serk.

I went to this site but it does not exist. My email
address and domain name reside on the host's server.
What do I need to do?

You don't have a mail server on your local computer, so you can't test it.
You must http://publish the form to your host, and you must ask them to set
up the forms to email transport in the FP server extensions. You can't do
it.

I have several forms that I will post in the future, for
every one, do I have to contact the host and tell them
the same thing? Or is it a one time deal?
Thanks

Once your host has the extensions configured correctly to process email, you
shouldn't have to do anything other than publish your form to your live
site.
