Setting Default file reader

I set Foxit to be my default file reader but Adobe keeps trying to read it
(and Adobe doesn't work - says it has an invalid plug-in). How can I re-set
Foxit to be my Default reader? Thanks!

When I was having the backup problems and trying to sort out the corrupted
file, Adobe re-appeared. It is now gone again. In order to get back to Foxit
as my default, I had to uninstall and reinstall it in order to have that as
my default (with Adobe removed for good measure!) Thanks again - Foxit is
great!
