setting bullet style

Paul

I'm trying to set a bullet style as a default i.e. every time I open a new
document the space is standard between the bullet and the text. I've tried
setting it in styles and I can do that as long as the document remains open,
but as soon as I close it the style either disappears from the list or it's
there but the spacing has reverted to the default.

When you create the style, make sure you check the "Add to template"
checkbox in the bottom left corner of the New Style dialogue box.

If the underlying template is Normal.dot, then it means the style will be
available to any document you create from that point on that are base on
Normal dot.

I am having the same trouble. This works to some extent but the indenting
resets to 0.63 when you close out. All other fomatting remains as per my
changes.

To change the indentation for a bulleted paragraph style: Right-click and
choose Adjust List Indents from the context menu. Set the desired indents.
Then right-click again and choose Update <style name> to Match Selection.
