Setting Application Icon doesnt effect explorer or shortcuts.

Hi ,
I have a C# application in VS2005.
I set an application icon , however when viewing the exe in the exporer it
has a default icon. if I right click the application , I see the correct icon
in the property page however I want to see the correct Icon in the explorer
as well.

Please help.

Generally follow the steps described in at this document (
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/339stzf7.aspx), the icon should
display correctly in the explorer.

Which operating system are you using? If use another icon file for the
application, does it still have the problem?

I have done exactly those steps and still the exe file doesnt have that
icon in the explorer view.
If you want I can send you a sample application.
I am working with visual studio 2005 , on Window XP SP 2
