SETI Spy - for SETI@home users

I don't know if there are SETI@home users here, if there is,
here is a useful piece:

http://www.cox-internet.com/setispy/

SETI Spy

"SETI Spy is a little program to "spy" on the progress and
performance of the SETI@home client. I call it a "spy" because
I tried to make it as unobtrusive as possible. SETI Spy has a
small memory footprint (about 2.5 MB when minimized) and uses
only a small fraction (< 0.1%) of your computer's processing
power. I wrote SETI Spy in Borland DelphiZDNet Editors' Pick,
the award winning Rapid Application Development (RAD) tool for
Windows. I initially wrote it for my own use, but I have
decided to make it available to the general public free of
charge under the GNU General Public License. SETI Spy was
awarded a five star rating at zddownloads.com. It was also
selected as zddownload's free file of the day on 11/13/2000."

Note:
"SETI@home is a scientific experiment that harnesses the power
of hundreds of thousands of Internet-connected computers in
the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI). You
participate by running a free program or "client" that
downloads and analyzes radio telescope data. Since the start
of the project"

Problem with this software is its limited life. S@H is moving over
(albeit slowly) to the BOINC platform which will render all these little
addon progs useless.

R. L. :

what does it do? You described almost everything but this
detail.

:p

here is more from the author:

"The graphical SETI@home client displays the progress and
status of the analysis, but generating the graphics uses 60%
or more of the available computing power. Some folks,
including myself, would much rather use all of the available
power to crunch data quicker than look at the pretty pictures.
Enter a new type of software -- the SETI@home front end --
that displays the progress and status of the analysis without
having to generating the time-consuming graphics. There are
some good SETI@home front ends available, but I wanted
something to display the information I am interested in -- the
progress and especially the performance of the SETI@home
client. This is why I wrote SETI Spy."

Sascha
