I am trying to set an entire group of users to have the same screen
resolution. Sometimes when I log in as the administrator it will change the
resolution and then the mgr of that department freaks out.

Regardless of if it is registry settings or GPO or whatever, is there a way
I can force either the computer or the user (preferably) to 1152 x 864???

A very unfriendly thing to do. Screen resolution is a user preference, for
very good reasons, and no one should be forcing his preference on anyone
else.

Yas, yas, yas, I know I'm not answering your question directly.

very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very
very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very
very very very very bad idea
how can you guarantee the user does not have a valid reason to use a
different resolution? do you have any developers? if i was one of them I
would not be able to work efficiently at a resolution of your choice - i need
max pixels available.

I think the asker didn't want you to comment on the idea. So let him decide whether it's good or bad.

I'm saying it because I want to do the same thing as a system administrator. There a meeting room with a notebook hidden in the desk and connected to a projector on the ceiling. Every user can log in and I'd like to force Windows XP to run at 1024x768 because somehow the default is 800x600 and that's too low.
