Screen Resolution

Does anyone know how to lock the screen resolution?

I put it to 1024 x 768 and press Apply but the next time I go back on the PC
it has changed back to 800 x 600.

I would also like to lock it to stop family members changing it to 1152 x
864 pixels and smaller.

I've been changing my resolution quite a bit lately, and I believe you've
got to click on the <advanced> button in the lower right corner of your
display properties dialog box. Now I have an NVidia FX 5200 video card, so my
method will probably vary from yours, however, after you get into the
advanced mode, then go to the tab that references your display adaptor, and
change the resolution from there. Passwords on accounts might keep others
from changing the resolution, not sure. Good luck.
