Set default Email to a Gmail account

I don't use my Outlook for anything anymore and I want gmail to open up
everytime i click on a link that that goes directly to someones email.
For example if I am on Craigslist.com and click on the email address to send
him an email then my Outlook comes up, but I don't have an account linked to
it.
I would like to change that default to my Gmail account.

Any help would be awesome.

Oh yeah, I am using Windows XP, but would also like to know if this is
possible with Vista because my boss wants to do the same thing.

Gmail isn't a mail client. You can only choose a mail client as the
application to open when sending mail. Configure Outlook to access your Gmail
account.
