More problems with XP.
XP Pro SP2..
I can start the system fresh, and can use Winamp to play MP3's no
problem. However, If I go to YouTube or the like and try to play a
video, I get no sound. I double click on the speaker icon in the
System Tray, and I am greeted with "There are no active mixer devices
available".
Given recent events, I went and checked my services, and Windows Audio
is set for Automatic, but it was not started. Starting the service
brought sound back.
What the hell is up with these services that are set for auto and not
starting.... Workstation is also one of them that is doing the same
thing....
