There is no way we can tell you that since we can't see your computer.
If this is a Dell (which is the only OEM I know of that uses a Service
Tag/Express Service Code), you can:

1. Look in your manual; or

2. Go to Dell's website (or the computer company's website if not a
Dell) and see the tech support documents for your specific model
computer. There will be a link to click to show you where to look for
the Service Tag/Express Service Code.

3. If a Dell, there is also a Start Menu entry under Dell which shows
the Service Tag.

4. If this computer is a Dell, the location of the Service Tag/Express
Service Code depends on the model machine. The sticker can be:
a. On the top
b. On the bottom
c. On the side
d. On the front

Its usually on the back of the chasis, if its not there, look at the bottom.
If its not there look through your documentation that came with your PC.

Frankie,
I think 'service tag' is a Dell computer term, do you have a Dell computer?

On my Dell XPS410 the service tag is a gray label with white lettering
attached to the front of the top of my tower.

Assuming you do have a Dell, this is probably the easiest way: Dell's
support site has a program that will find your service tag number. Go to
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen > click
on Enter a Tag > on the right side, click on Find My Service Tag.

I have several laptops from Dell, and all of them show the Service Tag info
here:

- Right-click "My Computer" and select "Properties" (alternately, go into
Control Panel and click "System")

- Click the button at the bottom that reads "Support Information"

If you're referring to a Dell computer, then the "Service Tag" is the
serial number. For any other manufacturer, ask that manufacturer's
technical support.

Hi, incase you cant locate it, the best place to find a service tag is

Hey doofus. Look at the date of the post you reply to before you make
a fool of yourself again.

You are smart, arnt u. Beats the purpose of a forum doesnt it? As people
never reffer to them for help!! .

That "forum" you see and are using is bogus. It collects messages
posted from all over the world and makes it look busier than it really
is.

Many of the posts coming from it are like yours: replies to old posts
where the person being replied to has long been gone.
