Hope I am in the right discussion group....

I have gotten the icon to install Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Pack 2
KB954430 more than 6 times now and each time it says Installation Complete.
Why is this happening? How do I know if it is installed? I just got it again
I use BitDefender as my Security Progran and it shows that it needs to be
installed also.

This isn't the right place--probably a support group for Windows Update
would be the right place.

I've had similar issues a number of times, though. In my experience, the
easiest fix is to uninstall XML x.x (whatever version is in question, then
re-install it followed by any patches or service packs. If you download
and apply those manually, follow up with a run of autoupdate just to see if
you've missed anything.
