I need your help, please. I am using XP Home edition with all the latest
updates. Since Sep. 25 (Auto Update History) the KB954430 updates is
"installed" every time I shut down (... don't turn computer off, it will
....).

If I shut down 3x a day I have to wait 3x for computer to update before it
will shut down

Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2
(KB954430)

Add and remove programs shows it is installed.

What's going on?

Can anybody help, please.

Thanks

Jan

You can try un- and then reinstalling the update, but have a look at this
KB page first:

"MS08-069: Description of the security update for XML Core Services 4.0:
November 11, 2008"
