Service Pack

I recently went to the windows update site, and it said I
needed to download the service pack. It took 1 1/2 hours
to download it and took 11MB of space. Now everytime I
try to access a microsoft site my internet connection
becomes disconnected. It is fine on any other site but
windowsupdate.com, hotmail.com and others immediateley
disconnect me. What happened and how do I fix it?

Clear your IE cache and cookies, close IE, reopen IE and try again.
