service pack vista problems

I just installed the service pack for vista and after my computer restarted
all my display settings have changed. I am now also without sound as the icon
at the bottom of the screen tells me no audio device is installed. Sound was
working perfectly before so not sure what is going on there. I can't seem to
put my settings back to the way they were before. The options for the monitor
just arent' there. Please help as I have no idea what happened to my usually
reliable computer.

Please check with your mother-board/chip-set manufacturer or audio
controller or video card manufacturer's websites for updated sound and
graphics drivers that may have been released to work with SP1.

Since one of the issues that cropped up with SP1 was a few device drivers
that the SP1 installer could not reinstall after upgrading, Mark is probably
right. There is nothing wrong with those drivers except for not being
written to allow automatic reinstallation.
