Service pack updates

I had to reload all my updates and when I went download
Service Pack 1, I got an error message stating it was
incompatible on my version of XP. I am running XP Home
and have never had any problems before. I tried to load
1a but it kept defaulting to SP1 but wouldn't download.
Help!

Get service packs from www.windowsupdate.com

If you get an error there when installing, post the exact error message.

If you download and try to install it on a XP which had Service Pack 1
installed, it will not

SP1a mainly removes MSJava from it.
