Service Pack Installed?

It is difficult to keep track. In XP, Office, etc how can I tell which
service packs or updates, etc. have been previously installed? Sometimes it
says "before installing update xx.3 you must have update xx.2 installed.
I'm not sure wether I installed the previous one or not

Hi Bob

For XP - right click on My Computer and select Properties - you will a reference to 'Service Pack 1' if it is installed.
For Office - open one of the applications and go to Help>About - you will see a reference to SP-1, SP-2, SP-3 etc.
