Service Pack 3

I am trying to install Service Pack 3 on my computer in
order to install Office 2003. I am using the Express
Installation option & it is taking forever. It tells me
the estimated time is over 700 minutes & on the website it
says it should be lees than an hour for Express
installation. Am I doing something wrong?

Probably not. There are two steps to the "express" installation --
the first downloads a small executable (only 400 or 500KB if I
remember correctly), and the second step downloads the actual
service pack files, which can easily take several hours on a
dialup connection.

A better way is to select the "network" installation of a service
pack, instead of "express", and download the entire thing.. it's
much faster if you ever need to reinstall it.

Also note that Service Pack 4 is already out, and has been for a while. You
might want to consider installing that instead.
