Service Pack 3 - cannot upgrade

M

Mike McNeil

I have a Genuine version of Windows Vista on my system. Four times now I
have tried to install SP3 with failure each time. It will go through the
complete installation process with the 3 stages upon restart and shows
success on all three of those stages but comes back saying that the upgrade
did not take and my system is reverting and changes that were made during
the install. My system ill run normal afterwards.

Since my first attempt at installing SP3, I have downloaded and installed
every other update available including the 10 released and available to me
on Dec 10, 2009.

What can I do to rectify this problem?

Mike, what Ex-Brit said, but if that doesn't work head over to the update
newsgroup. I'm xposting this reply there.

*Badly* cross-posted.

Really - that's all you are going to leave of the original
conversation/posting?

Is this a web forum issue?
