when I install service pack 2 my computer crashes why?? I
am running an AMD AthlonXp 2200+ 1.8GHz 768mb of ram
can someone help please ?????

crashes and the reboots,it then starts to scan C drive
(where windows XP PRO is and then starts to trunch of
lost links ect hope this helps u more thanks

Otherwise, remove SP 2 following these directions:

"How to remove Windows XP Service Pack 2 from your computer"

and

"How to help protect your computer if you decide to remove Windows XP
Service Pack 2"

Then follow the instructions here:

"What to Know Before You Download and Install Windows XP Service Pack 2"

and install SP 2 again.
