Service Pack 2 Problems

I relented and installed SP2, I wanted to run Media Connect and interface
with my Xbox360. The Media Connect function works great. The problem is my
computer is running very slowly and is crashing regularly. I had not
experience any of these problems before, any suggestions. When the computer
freezes the desktop resizes and we have to shut it down. Help!!!

Did you update all your hardware drivers?
Did you check for patches for all your software?
Uninstall unused applications?
Ran a spyware check with several different applications?
Done a full antivirus scan?
Done a CHKDSK?
Defragmented?
