Service pack 2 problems with Access

I recently installed MS Service pack 2 (Office2003SP2-KB887616-FullFile-ENU)
on my computer. Now when I attempt to run MS Access a message appears saying
MS office will install the program, after a few minutes a message box reports
successfull installation. Then closes. MS Access does not start and if I
try to run it again, the same process repeats itself. All of my other
programs work fine and the updates seem to be working. Any suggestions on
how to get MS Access back online?
