Service pack 2, before 1.

Can you intall service pack 2 before 1 if you have to do a brand new
install? I assume you can, as you could with previous versions of
windows and service packs.

You certainly don't want to install SP2 *before* SP1, but you you
don't need to install them both. SP2 includes SP1 fixes; just
install SP2.

If you install SP2 you have no need of SP1. SP2 includes all the parts
of SP1 that have not yet been further upgraded by SP2 versions
