Service haning in "stopping mode"

Hi

How can i stop or start a service if it is in stopping mode and doesnt wanna
do anything else.

Will this work for a service? as kill does kill processes.

Hello Ivor van der Merwe,

Open the service properties, search for the .exe (Path to executable which
is used and in Task manager you can find the process ID for this .exe.

If everything works fine, i think you can start the service like normal.
If not i think then you have to reboot. BTW what service is it?

if i had to guess i would think ... telephony
