Hi All,

I'm running a Win2k server with active directory. I have
DNS configured, and it is working fine. However, every
time I reboot the server, the DNS Service switches itself
to "disabled" from "automatic," and does not start. I
have to go into the Services screen, switch it back to
automatic, and then start it manually every time. Anyone
know the reason for this?

Check your Domain and Domain Controller security policy on the DC, In the
system services directory, the DNS service should be either not defined or
automatic.
You might also check your default domain security policy in ADUC
