server not found

the other day I went to open IE. IE will open but "can not
find server" comes up. I downloaded IE 6 hoping it might
help correct the problem but it didnt. I did find out I
was missing iecont.dll and iecontlc.dll files. Could these
files be the problem? I looked on my roommates computer
buti could not find the files so I am wondering if that is
the problem.
