Server not configured for transactions

I have started getting error while accessing W2k desktop
from W2k Laptop.

"Server not configured for transactions"

This occurs when I try to access Administrative shares of
desktop from laptop.

Whenever I run a command: net share ipc$
then I can access shares that I have created. These shares
again disabled when I reboot the desktop.

If I Create the Admin shares (ex: c$, d$, Admin$....) they
are lost after reboot.

Help is appreciated.
