server not configured for transactions

when i go into my network neighbourhood, i can go into
the C drive on the server directly, but when i try to
click on entire network and double click on the domain,
an error message comes:" server not configured for
transactions". this prevents me from using the printer
connected to the server. however this does not prevent me
from working on my accounting system on my workstation,
which is installed on the server.
Now if i have to print document, i have to copy the file
to "C on Server" and then print from there. does this
problem have a solution?
