Server logging me off

Does anyone know why when I log into Terminal Server and then disconnect,
the user gets logged out after a period of time? When I log back on all the
programs I had open are no longer closed as the user has been logged out.
Any ideas how to stop this happening?
 
Check your time-out settings for disconnected session, in TS
Configuration or your GPO.
