server gets hang OR it goes to standby state automatically

My 2000 server which has domain controller and some
critical software loaded on it.gtes hanged up aotumaticaly
some time.
When i check the event viewer i find error message
as
( The mavhine is PDC of the domain at the root, of the
forest. Configure to sync from Ext time source using the
net command. "net time/setsntp:,servername>" )
