Server dropping RPC connection to DCs

We have W2K srv running Exch 2K on an IBM x330. All was
working fine until 2 months ago started getting Event ID:
2070 where it looses contact with DCs and then it
accentually falls asleep. Several error events will
follow. It won't respond to ping or terminal service. If
we bombard it with pings from multiple sources then it
wakes up and acts normal for a while. The problem is
random. It acts like the NICs are going into sleep mode.
We have tried changing NICs, called IBM, they suggested
different video driver of all things. We even moved the
hot swap drives to a different server of same model. I
have used Policytest.exe, and rping utilities and they
show connectivity most of the time. Any ideas

you could try reinstalling... takes a while but it could
be fun ?
