Server applicatioin failes.

Hi.
I have a user that is strugling with his Excel spreadsheet that is pasted as
link into a PowerPoint presentation.
PowerPoint is returning this message.
"The server application, source file, or item can't be found, or returned an
unknown errer. You may need to reinstall the server application."

Even the server application is beeing re-installed, the problem is still
there.

Any clue how to solve this?

Hi.
Thank you for your answer.
The solution refeers to use of Norton antivirus. Intresting. We are using
Trend Micro but I will read the web page with great interest.

Well, Norton isn't the only issue it could be, and since you're not using
it, I'd definitely look elsewhere down that page!
