I updated the internet explorer to 7.0 beta3, after updated, my computer was
not working properly, and showed missing iertuti.dll, I was told that
reinstall the iertuti.dll could resolve the problem. I tried to recover the
system from original Window XP, but I forgot to plug off flash drive(USB), so
it stopped installation when 34 mins left. i tried to recover it as a
administor, but I forgetted the password, tried 3 times and failed because of
wrong password. Now I did clean installing of XP on the same drive(C:) but
different folder, now the I can not recover my old setting, I can not find
any program from start--program. could anyone help me?

Now I have 2 Windows XP systems on Drive C, I transfered the setting and
program from old XP system to new system, but it does not work.

Also, I can not recover the old system using Windows CD, it repeats show
that setup is being restarted, again and again.

Thanks very much.

I take it you've investigated whether System Restore could get you out of
this by rolling-back to before IE7 was installed. ?

Also, I take it you've tried a Repair Install?

Run setup from CD, select "Install XP" (NOT recover) when asked which
partition, select the active one and press "R" to repair it.

If that doesn't work, it's probably time for the DOS floppy and FDISK (Or
other means of reformatting the disk and starting from fresh)

BTW, a beta isn't really meant to be used in a 'production environment.'
It's NOT guaranteed to be stable, and NOT guaranteed to be harmless to your
computer, either. If you want to try beta versions you need a spare PC. (Or
you could use Virtual PC) but putting it onto your main OS is foolhardy.
