Then it is one of 3 things:
1. Noncompatible hardware...verify with hardware manufacturers and
get latest drivers, reseat all cards and cables.
2. Some software is incompatible (not likely), check with
manufacturers.
3. Windows is damaged...Perform a Clean Installation.
4. Bad SP-2 download...download again.
5. ???

Hm, I have the latest WHQL drivers for my hardware, I would've thought it
should still work since my current install of Windows XP runs fine?
2. Some software is incompatible (not likely), check with
manufacturers.

I've looked into problems, and the only issue I can find is with Norton Anti
Virus, but an update's all ready been released and downloaded for it.

I discovered that windows is actually booting past the part where the white
bar scrolls along the bottom. It's just bombing out before it shows 'Windows
XP'
3. Windows is damaged...Perform a Clean Installation.

Gnurk. A last resort I guess, but I thought it was all right since I haven't
had any problems for a long while. Like, months.
4. Bad SP-2 download...download again.

Good suggestion, may well try that. I would've thought it's own checking
would spring up any problems.

That's what I was thinking, heh. :)

Do you have a direct link to the relevant article?

The 5th point in Jupiter Jones' message should have read "the new OS is crap
and no one should touch it".

I say the new OS because that is what it is despite Microsoft's insistence
to call it SP2.

The new operating system consisting of 2,933 files and 308 directories is
about about 342,132,100 bytes when expanded normally. The files also
contains other zipped files which I haven't bothered to count yet. It is
named SP2 because MS cannot market it as a new OS or upgrade Windows XP
otherwise nobody
would touch it. MS is determined to have its new products used by loyal
supporters of MS like yourself.

In most organisations, installing a new OS requires high level meetings
after meetings. For anyone intending to use PC as a business tool should
stay away from the latest incarnation from Microsoft Corporation. Best
thing is to wait until MVP guinea pigs have tested this throughly.

Your broad insults to people show much of your true character.
They also show you as a troll.

Do you have anything to contribute? Apparently not!
Or are you only capable of criticism? Apparently!
