SERIAL PORT CONFIGURATION

I'm using Windows 2000 and am unable to configure the
serial port as Windows 2000 is only seeing an infra-red
port. I have a digital camera which needs to use the
serial port and I can't get Windows 2000 to recognise new
hardware. Does anyone have any suggestions/fix?? Thanks.

HAve you checked your BIOS settings to make sure that the onboard RS232
ports are (1) turned on, (2) not conflicting with each other, (3) not
conflicting with your modem, and (4) not conflicting with the irDa?
