I installed this card in my win2000 and when it search for the driver, I
point to the location of the cd and let it search for the drivers. When it
finishs it reboots itself. I find that in the Device Manager, the following
entries:-
Under other devices - mass storage controller (which have a yellow question
mark) and the device is enabled. (Note there is n other mass storage device
connected to the pc at moment)

Under the SCSI and Raid Controller -Ali Sata/Raid Controller (a yellow
exclamation mark) Under its properties it says 'the device cannot start".

The content/folders of the CK-0019A cd -SATA50XX, Utility, win2000, win nt,
win xp, win98_memodel CK-0019A. and winxp64

How can I resolve this issue as I want my pc to be able to read SATA hdd as
a secondary drive. TIA

SATA driver must be installed early on in the boot sequence so that
things like RAID can be set up and booted from. You need to boot from
your Win2K disk and hit F6 when prompted at the bottom of the screen.
This happens twice, once for the mini NT used to do the repair console,
etc and a second time when it builds the NT image on you will be
running. So, rebuild your system with the SATA driver disk handy.
