Seperate Audio From Video ?

I have two clips. I would like to shorten the video section of the
first clip and add the second clip right behind the first "shortened"
one. The thing is I would like the audio from the first clip to not be
shortened and to run while showing the second clip, too. I hope that
made sense. Is there a way to delete the recorded video without
deleting the recorded audio?

Also, once I add Audio/Music to the timeline is there a way to tie
this audio/music to the cooresponding video so if I delete some video
before this timeline that these two stay "connected"?

TIA

Paul,

You can do the first thing by putting the clip on the video track, and then
another copy of the same clip on the music/audio track. Mute the one on the
video track, split it, etc. as you see fit. The audio on the music/audio
track will play.

No on the second point, if you mean keeping things in sync. Leave the final
syncing until you finish the video editing, so life is easier as you only
have to do the final sync once.
